Valencia CF support International Deaf Day
As part of International Deaf Day, Valencia CF coach Albert Celades' pre-match press conference for the game against Athletic Club was translated into sign language at the Ciudad Deportiva Media Centre.
The club have been collaborating with the Valencian Federation For The Deaf (FESORD C.V.) to give visibility to the activities the regional group have organised throughout this week, starting on Monday (International Sign Language Day) and ending on Saturday (International Deaf Day).
Some of the VCF Academy players from the Cadete A, Cadete Fundación and Infantil A teams received an informative talk at the Ciudad Deportiva from Karin Bos, the FESORD C.V. sign language specialist. She explained what the daily life of a deaf person entails, as well as how adaptation is being made through new technology and social media. The players ended the meeting by learning football-related sign language words.
